Phil Whitaker was born in Kent, really quite a long time ago. He has lived in a variety of locations around the UK including Nottingham, where he studied in medicine, and Oxford, where he undertook postgraduate training in general practice. He now lives in Somerset.
Phil writes using a word processor. For a long time he was wedded to WordPerfect, which he considers a whole lot better than Word, but in recent years he has been seduced by the delights of Apple, and now works exclusively in Pages. He loves the way his various devices communicate with each other, usually without involving him at all.
Whenever possible, Phil sources his ideas locally. If he has to use imported ideas, he makes sure they’re fairly traded and, ideally, organic.
